IPhone not playing well in the car?
I just got the iPhone 3Gs on Monday 9/14. So far everything is great, except for some reason the iPod feature is not playing clearly in my car. Has anyone else had this problem?? I have an iPod that plays great in the car and am using the same cord and cd player to hook up the iPhone but for some reason it sounds really muffled and there is a loud thumping and you can barely hear the music. I just dont want to have a defected phone… it’s so brand new! What should I do? I have apple care. Thanks :)

You should get the iPod cable that connects your iPhone directly into your car radio through the connector on the bottom.

Can i hook my ipod up to my car amp using aux out?
I have a 460 watt amp and on the back it has a red and a white socket labeled aux output. i have one of those monster cable ipod adapters with the headphone jack at the end and the red and white cords both fit into those aux output sockets. then i set my stereo deck to aux to see if the ipod would play, but of course it was an epic fail. is there anyway to hook my ipod up to my amp, or is there a connecton on the back of my car stereo which would support the monster cables that i have?

You should use the iPod connection that will directly connect to your radio so you can control the volume from the radio.

Can i plug my ipod to speakers in a car where the rest of music system is out?
hi,just a thought…my car cd player was no more working so i had to take it out..i have to get a new one…now the speakers are in place…nothing fancy abt the speakers ..just the usual standard speakers,i mean no amplifier etc…anyways i was wondering if i could somehow hook up my ipod to em..i mean in some way like i plug in my pc’s external speakers to it simply by putting in their pin in ipod…don’t mind if it sounds stupid but was free these days so wanted to try out something..plz let me know if u could help me out..wat do i need for it n how to execute my idea

The speakers would need some form of an amplifier. The output from the iPod is low level compared to the output from your car stereo. Put a radio with an iPod connector in it. It will ultimately be better then adding an amplifier and less expensive.

Why won’t my ipod touch charge?
My 8G touch won’t charge on my iHome iPod clock but other Ipods will. And in my car, it won’t charge off the built in iPod cable? Is there something wrong with my iPod? It charges on the computer just fine.

The newer iPods, iPhones are all 5 volt charging. That could be the problem.

If thats the problem the touch will give the message “This unit does not support charging… airplane mode”

Is there a device that allows you to transmit your iPod tunes over your car radio?
I’d like to get something for my son’s b-day that would allow him to transmit his iPod tunes throught the car radio; is there such a device? I’ve seen transmitters that allow you to channel the FM radio through the ipod but not exactly what I want. Help is appreciated.

The sound quality will be better with the direct connection and your iPhone will charge while your in your car. If you’re streaming audio the battery will die very fast.

How do I play my iPod through my car stereo?
I have an ‘07 Ford Focus hatchback that came with the full 6-CD/MP3 entertainment system. I bought a thing to plug into the power adapter that would play through the radio but I’ve never got it to work. I have an AUX button but have no idea what to do with it. Can anybody help?

Ipod not working at all?
I have an Ipod classic 120 GB I believe. WEll this morning it was working and I fully charged it. and then I went to school and put it in my backpack so it doesn’t get overheated or too cold in case of the weather change or whatever. Well when I get back to my car it refused to turn on. It’s still refusing. Yes, I checked the hold button that’s fine. It won’t turn on when I hooked it to the computer. It won’t turn on when I hooked it to the charger. WHAT TO DO?

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Now press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears, which may take about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

If that doesn’t work your iPod is gonna have to go in for repair.
