Where is the Auxiliary Jack on Honda Civic 2007 LX sedan?

30 Nov

The Honda Civic 2007 LX 4 door sedan has AUX input button other than AM/FM and CD buttons. But I cannot find the Auxiliary Jack. I have seen on in 2008 Civic EX model and its not at the same place in my car. Does anyone know about that? Do I have to install explicitly?

The aux connection can be accessed by using the DICE Electronics Honda kit http://diceelectronics.com/honda.html

It will allow you to control an iPod directly through the factory Civic radio and it gives you the option of using an extra aux in for other MP3 players.

Kicker CVR vs JL Audio W1 or W3?

30 Nov

I’m putting a new system in my truck and I’m trying to get some feedback. I have a ZX750.1 that has a birth sheet of 932 watts. I’m looking to run 2 10’s under the back seat of my Silverado in a downward firing Subthump box. I want to know if anyone has ran a similar set up and what they thought. I have had L7’s in the past and for the type of music I listen to (Death Metal, Hardcore, Old Skool Hip Hop) they didn’t make much sense. They were load as hell and you could hear me a mile away but they had a tendency to get muddy when the double bass started going. I want something I can feel that has really good response but people hearing me coming isn’t a priority anymore.

Either JL Audio woofer is better then the Kicker. I would get the 10W3

A must have accessory is the DICE Electronics iPod car aux kit. http://diceelectronics.com/
It will allow you to play your iPhone music and some of the apps like Pandora and Sirius XM radio through your car stereo.

I want to play my iPod nano in my car…?

… I know I need to get an iPod car charger, but how do I get it to play through the car’s speakers? I have a Ford KA with and independently fitted CD player. Do I need to buy iPod speakers, or can I configure it to the car’s CD player? Cheers :D

What’s the best way (for looks, usability and superior sound) to hook up an iphone to your car stereo?

30 Nov

No fm transmitters though, their sound quality is terrible, preferably to be able to hook it up straight to your car stereo, i don’t have an aux input though on the front side of the radio (I have an Audi A4 ‘01).

The DICE Electronics kit is by far the best on the market.

You can connect your iPhone to your Audi radio and control it directly from the stereo.

It also lets you play iPhone apps through the car stereo. I use the Sirius XM app and Pandora in my car. It will also play the sound from my videos and movies through the kit.

If not about how much for a front plate and ‘plug’?

You probably need an installation kit and wire harness. They are usually available at any Best Buy.

In need of a reliable, well-priced FM transmitter for iPod touch?

24 Nov

I just got a car and I want something that will both play my music from my 2nd gen. iPod touch over the car’s speakers (Fm transmitter) and charge it! Can anyone suggest a product that works good and is not too pricey??

This kit is an FM kit but it doesn’t have any static. When you plug in your iPod it turns on and disconnects the factory antenna.

Get the pro install kit. It will sound much better then the tape style kit.

What is wrong with the radio in my Acura?

24 Nov

I have a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL in overall good condition. Yesterday, as I was driving, I tried to plug in a cell phone charger that I was using in another car. When I plugged it in and tried to get my cell charging, the radio went out. All of a sudden there was no display or reception. I tried turning the car on and off, and fiddle with the power button, but I can’t get my radio to work anymore. And the charger never worked, either. What can I do to get my radio/stereo to work again?

Your cig lighter adapter probably caused a short and popped a fuse. Check the fuses in the fuse box with a multimeter.

Sometimes the pins get bent back and short the positive and negative terminals on the cig lighter.
